Site Rules 1. Respect each other. This is rule number one because of how important it is for us to at least tolerate each other. People responsible for creating drama OR dividing the site because of their grudge will be given a penalty based upon how severe their violations are.
2. NO racist, sexist, adult, or inappropriate content. We understand a few cracks at some type of person here or there, but bring it any further and you will be punished and whatever you posted will be removed.
3. 1337 speak and chatspeak are mildly tolerated - you may use it in OOC only. 'brb', 'bbl', 'ttyl', 'lol', 'rofl', etc. are fine, but please d0 n0t b3g1n sp34k1ng l1k3 th1s. (But of course we understand jokes... just don't overdo it. Kay? <3)
4. No plagiarism. You are allowed to post the works of others here and use them in character biographies, but DO NOT claim the works as your own unless you have done them yourself.
5. No spamming. Flooding the boards with retarded posts about "plz accept bio" or insanely bumping something you have posted only displays immaturity - such posts will be locked and deleted. Anyone who violates this rule will be banned for at least a day, depending on severity of the violation.
6. Swearing should be kept to a minimum. Remember that instead of using human swear words, cats say things like 'foxdung' or 'mousedung'. Of course, we do expect our members to be mature, but there are most likely younger members playing this site, and people who do not want to read over a wall of $#*!)#*(#@*!&!!!!!
7. Your RL information is up to you to either give out or keep secret. You have the ability to hide your age, gender, and email and giving out your real name, address, etc. is absolutely optional. Do not blame us if you feel your privacy has been violated because you decided to post some RL information about yourself somewhere on the website. It is your responsibility to maintain this.
8. Please only use one account per person. We do not have a character limit, therefore there should be no need for you to make another account for any reason. Violation of this rule will result in a warning unless there is valid reason (i.e. admin permission, someone who lives in same household plays the account, etc.)
9. Please post your absences in the absences board. We need to keep track of our members, and if you are gone for a certain period of time without logging on or posting anything, then your account may be deleted.
10. Last but not least - the staff are here to serve you, yes, but they also have their responsibilities (including the big one... y'know, real life) to carry out. Please be patient if waiting for their replies. Also know that what they say is extremely important, and should be respected almost like the rules.
<3Thanks for reading, the first part of the codeword is pristine.

Character Rules 1. Warrior names. Kits' names will end in 'kit'. Apprentices' names will end in 'paw'. Warriors' names will have a prefix and suffix. Leaders' names will end in 'star'.
2. When it comes to selecting the affiliation of your character... Loner - A loner is a cat with no alliances. They hold individual beliefs about the clans and StarClan (either positive, negative, or neutral). A loner most likely enjoys being alone, though some may prefer the company of other cats. Rogue - A cat who has either been outcasted from a clan, or was once a member of a clan. A majority of rogues are evil, though some still cling to the clans' belief in StarClan and the warrior code. Rogues may also be offspring of a cat who was once a member of a clan. Kittypet - A cat raised by or around twolegs (humans), and is most often a pet cat. Kittypets have no little or no knowledge of StarClan, and often very little of clan cats. Young kittypets (kit/apprentice age) may be accepted into clans, as they can still be trained to break their kittypet habits (though being accepted into a clan is rare). Older ones will most likely not be accepted into clans.
3. You may not join as a queen or kit, UNLESS you have found another player willing to play the mate of your cat (for a queen) or a cat to play your mother (kit), OR you have gained my permission to roleplay one (such as a kittypet/loner queen who joined a clan, or a kit found somewhere on clan territory, abandoned). Otherwise, it is very confusing with all of the "who is my mother?" or "who is the father of my kits?". {You may look under the character relations board.}
4. Now when it comes to creating characters, here are a few suggestions for each. Character Descriptions: Remember what clan your character is and how old they are. A RiverClan cat is more likely to have a sleek coat than any other clan cat. A 57 moon old warrior is more likely to have scars than a young 20 moon old warrior. Character Personality: Everyone in the world has their faults - whether it be their pride, temperment, or hardheadedness. Faults may be easily noticeable - clumsiness, shyness, etc. or not so noticeable - an inner fear or barrier that prevents a character from doing something. Character History: Usually the only problem with history is how dramatic some people make it. Not every cat comes from outside the clans, and not every cat has witnessed the death of their parents. Remember to make things believable - ShadowClan is more likely to suffer from illness and RiverClan is less likely to drown. If there was no war with another clan, then why did a character's relative die at the claws of a member of that clan? Over-dramatic histories will have to be revised.
5. Character No's- No emos. Explanation: Emos tend to be attention-seeking characters that don't exactly fit into the warrior world. Of course a character is allowed to be depressed from time to time, but if your character's life and personality revolves around depression? You need to do some serious revising. Death is common, and though it may effect a character for some time, they will eventually get over it. No great-great-great descendant of 'X' book character. Explanation: Okay, there probably are such characters in existence, but the ancestry would trace back so far a character probably wouldn't know about it. No speshul snoeflakes. Explanation: No, your character cannot have a special marking or receive a sign from StarClan unless purchased from the shop. Characters like these tend to be made in order to bring attention or add an 'interesting depth' to them. Be creative, yet don't go overboard at the same time. No bisexuals/homosexuals. Explanation: Alright, before I seem to look like a person who discriminates against people of certain sexual orientation, let me explain. First of all, these are cats. Animals. Same sex relationships just don't occur in the natural world. Also, this is a world where children are required for the survival of a clan. There are no homosexual relationships in the Warriors books. And last of all ... where would the cats get these ideas? How would they understand homosexual relationships?
6. Apprentices must join as 6 moon old apprentices unless a person has agreed to be their mentor. {Look under the character relations board to search}.
7. If you are going to kill off a cat {do not kill off other people's characters without their permission}, please tell your clan moderator so they can update the clan listings. If your cat is expecting kits, please tell that to the clan moderator so they can decide how many kits your cat is going to have {and possibly their genders}.
8. Leaders must be at least 30 moons old. Deputies must be at least 25 moons old. Medicine cats should be at least 25-30 moons old. Warriors must be at least 12 moons old. Apprentices must be 6-15 moons old. Kits must be 1-6 moons old. 13 moon old beginner warriors do not become leaders/deputies. Medicine cats do not learn herbs and how to communicate with StarClan overnight. Keep it real, peeps!
9. Half-Clanners are rare, and you can only create them with the permission of an admin. Relationships between two cats of different clans must also be approved by admins, because they are also rare.
10. Only one cat with a high position per member.
11. Finally, please make at least two threads before a cat becomes pregnant, and at least one thread before they give birth.
<3Thanks for reading!

Roleplaying Rules 1. As any other roleplaying site, godmodding, metagaming, and powerplaying are not allowed. godmodding - this can be defined in a few ways. 1. Your character is like a god. They can avoid any attack and can avoid any malicious plans against them. They are perfect - they can fight and not get hurt and can avoid pretty much anything that a person does against them. 2. Not giving a person a chance to dodge/parry/block/etc. Such as saying "Wutermalun hurled himself at Chuckycheez's face, it ripped open his stomach and he died." Yay for a non-serious and silly example. Not exactly the point, but not giving your opponent a chance to react is bad. metagaming - using OOC knowledge to your advantage IC. So say that we have a plot that a disease is about to infect a few members of each clan. Neonarfigulcas the great StarClan-blessed loner magically predicts this! Yea, I know, that was crappy example. {So is that dude's name!} But you get the point, right? powerplaying - playing someone else's character. People create their characters, write a biography, and get it accepted. Let's say that Rayvenfur the cleverful name-maker decides he doesn't like how the battle is going, so he writes, "Rayvenfur roared, jumping on Goldentail and ripping her shoulder. Goldentail winced and ran away, yowling with pain." {A bad combo of godmodding and powerplaying right there.}
2. Roleplay must be done in third person, and preferably past tense. "I walk through the forest and sniff the air. I smell a vole and I crouch down. I know it is somewhere nearby." should be... "She walked through the forest and sniffed the air. She could smell a vole, so she crouched down. She knew the creature was somewhere nearby."
3. No overly-graphic violence or mating/birthing. This site is PG, let's keep it that way. We don't want to read about HOW BABBY IS FORMED or about how your guts are spilling out all over the forest floor. Keep the writing flavorful, yet also keep it so that another person can read through it and not wince every five words. Even if wounds are severe, please do not RP out that your guts are spilling everywhere and your brains are leaking out of your clawed-off eyes.
4. Liquid timing is in play here. This means that your character can be in as many threads as you want them to be, assuming that they are all occurring at different times and dates.
5. When roleplaying or making a thread, be sure to keep it within the standard guidelines. If it is greenleaf then there is not going to be snow. If there is no war going on, do not say 'I wonder when we'll attack 'X'Clan.
6. Use correct language. A character is not going to say the word describing poopies. They're going to say foxdung or mousedung instead. They're not going to call their clanmate a dumb@$$. They're going to call them 'mousebrain'.
7. There is no word limit, but we prefer at least 75 words per post. We understand writer's block and how hard it is to describe some situations.
8. The suffix in a warrior's name is not capitalized. It is 'Brightstar', not 'BrightStar'. The 'Clan' suffix is capitalized in ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ThunderClan.
Finally, it's over! Congratulations, you read through the rules! The word emerald should finish up the codewords for you. Put the codeword in the 'Other' section of the creation form!
