The clearing is located right above the cave in which the tribe lives in. To-bes are often trained here, as far away from the edge of the clearing as possible. There are few trees, which is why mentors must always be on the lookout for birds of prey, who would gladly snatch and eat a young to-be or small cat.

One pine tree in the Tribe of Rushing Water's territory is known for how eagles tend to prefer it when it comes to nesting. It is a common hunting ground, but not the safest place to be if you are not an expert at hunting birds of prey.

The thicket is an area with a dense growth of shrubs, bushes, and trees. It is a preferable training area as there are no cliffs nearby, and the area is so well-covered that birds of prey pose no threat to young cats. The sun barely touches the ground here, and it remains soft and cool throughout the seasons, except for the time of frozen water, when it is covered in snow.
